Yeah, I'm Awesome

Look at all those strikes! I've already accepted the fact that this is the highest score I'll ever have, and it's only downhill from here. But, I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Back from the Dead

So, after lots encouragement from my sister (who helped me get the blog looking more current--so much has changed with Blogger in 4 years!), I've decided to add blogging to my list of ways to waste time on the internet. Also on the list are Facebook, Addiction Solitaire, blog stalking, and Twilight Lexicon. But really, I hope this will be a way to stay in better touch with friends and family.

As my inaugural post (minus the parade and Bruce Springsteen concert), I've decided to talk about our trip to Seattle last weekend. We hadn't seen two of Jay's siblings and their families in over a year, which is unacceptable :) We were reallly missing them, and between a Southwest fare sale, and the fact that we'll have to pay for Hayden's own seat when he turns 2 in a few weeks, we decided to seize the day and make the trip.

We had such a great time! Hayden absolutely loved playing with his cousins, and we loved catching up with everyone. We got to meet baby Mont-gummy for the first time, and he is so cuddly. Highlights from the trip include: taking the kids to the Seattle Aquarium, Ivar's clam chowder, the ferry ride, Pike Place Market, Jaci's pot pies, Taryn's shrimp, the Kidz Zone with bouncy toys, and Clara's train set (that was Hayden's favorite). We missed Jay's parents, who are on a mission in Pennsylvania, but we got to visit with them on the phone.
